There is an open dining area and also smaller bamboo seating areas. Love our visits to Venus, warm family atmosphere.We brought some fish and chips a couple of days ago and the fish was off, when we brought it home and opened it the smell was bad so I threw mine away. Not for me!

Chips are excellent - obviously use good quality potatoes - and very good value.This is our first choice for takeaway food. Beautiful fish and chips will definitely call again if in the area .Beautiful chips, not greasy.

My dad did have a couple of bites and he was sick...Not the best, chips were very greasey and half of them were bad.

I agree with other reviewers that this was the best fish & chip shop in Bedford and suffered when the long time owners left, but just recently the new owners are bringing it back to somewhere near that excellent quality again - so well done them! The menu is more limited than normal but … The staff are so friendly too, always.Crisp batter, generous portion of well-cooked haddock that falls off the skin, proper chips. Chicken kebab meat is to die for. Surprisingly the place…
