1/3 Is dried shrimp often used?I feel ya! I had pad thai from street vendors in Bangkok a few times, watched them make it and never saw them use dried shrimp, though I could see how that would add to the flavor. One of my vegetarian friends pretends to be ignorant of the fish sauce and chooses to believe it is vegetarian when she gets it!I left Thailand a month ago and crave Pad Thai and fried rice every second of every day!
