This was our honeymoon and nobody there seemed to care. The Mexican restaurant at sunset on the water was perfect. -There was zero service at the zen pool after 4pm. We felt as if we were a million miles from home. We arrive and they had no reservation for us. We had him as our server multiple times for breakfast and dinner! That seems ludicrous to me....none of these things are mentioned on the website when renting the boat. -Since only booked for two nights, we had to beg, borrow and plead to get dinner at Bogie and Bacalls. In the Garden Bungalow, when you sit on your porch, you won’t see the water. Front desk says we need to call the spa... Quite frankly, for the amount of money it cost to stay here, that service is unacceptable. We booked 4 nights. We were in a rush because we had 2 hours till our wedding and still needed to change and drive an hour away. The food was the best meal and I am thrilled we got to go or otherwise I would've been super disappointed in the whole food experience. Bungalows Key Largo opened to fanfare last December as a luxury adults-only, all-inclusive resort on Key Largo, with perks like outdoor soaking tubs in each bungalow, a food truck and Peloton spin bikes. The front office and dinner reservations were a complete fail. The hotel advertises itself as an all inclusive which would make sense for the price, but it is not a true all inclusive. The person driving had to pass a written test first, there was an empty cooler on board (after we requested drinks to be on board) that we had to stock ourselves. Amenities were fantastic. We stayed in a garden bungalow which is cheaper than ocean front- definitely recommend going the garden bungalow route. Now, the good: The servers and front line workers were spectacular! We truly feel spoiled and definitely found it all well worth the money! I wish all the money I spent to go here went to them. Over an hour goes by with nothing, so my wife calls. My wife and I ate our first honeymoon meal in the parking lot of a Starbucks as we waited to get on property. Bungalows Key Largo is Now Open! -The tipping thing is nuts.
Continuing with the theme of poor reservations. All of the staff is friendly and helpful. These excursions were well run and excellent. Waterfront Bungalows. Basically, it’s $900 on top of your bill if you want to utilize the day you arrive and depart. Bungalows Key Largo. We made the best of it, but it honestly just puts a sour taste in your mouth about the whole thing. It’s an adults-only resort.There are 135 bungalows, 31 of them waterfront. If you long for more action stay at main pool. 2 hours later we get a call about our dinner reservations, but this time they’re now suddenly at 6pm and at different restaurants. I get that it sits on somewhat of a marina, but the water is not pretty and I guess I expected more based on the pictures from the website. That was an awesome way to get around on the property. Loved the outdoor tub and shower. I really do hate it because we have had our eyes on this place since before it burnt. Request a reservation at check-in to ensure you get a table at this popular spot. Overall, we would recommend the Bungalows and we hope to come back. The resort sits on the Florida Bay, with access to Bungalows Key Largo is the only all-inclusive resort in the Florida Keys. However, we wanted to keep the room for late check out at 3pm and that is yet another $300. If your smoke cigars, there is a special tee pee for that. There is a VERY limited area to even take the boat.
