Gift store prices are not outrageous.Its not big & it won't take you long to make your way through it but it's well maintained, they have a nice guided tour through the back building and the staff was extremely nice & well versed. FREE FOR MUSEUM MEMBERS. The two guys showing us around and telling us about each cars history really added to our visit. While this museum is not the largest train museum I've been to, the exhibits and display trains are exquisite. First opened in 2001, the museum has seen attendance explode from 2,000 visitors the first year to now an average of 40,000 per year. The museum and annex look cool and worth the $8 entry fee but I just wanted to sit in the shade and wave at the trains. Location. We just got back from our first trip to the Discovery Museum.
