We've had it about a month now, and love it.
This grinder uses ceramic conical burrs for grinding, which are considered the best configuration for hand grinding coffee as they hold less static and are cleaned more easily than steel burrs.
This is just perfect.
The Hario that's grey works great. Even though it seems like a pain to grind for each cup, realistically it only takes one minute. I like the thing, it's good quality and if you're doing it just for yourself then it's fine, but it does take a bit of time and patience to grind the beans.
It's a long story why I have two hand grinders.

Every 10-20 turns of the handle you'll find some beans have got stuck and require an extra 'push' to grind - so it's not a particularly smooth experience and requires a continual, tight grip (you can't just place it on the table and turn). If you fill the bowl to the top with grinds then it's easy - but if you're just grinding enough for one or two people that would mean leaving a lot of freshly ground coffee just sitting there.
