For this review, my guest and I were on the restaurant side. There are two sides to the restaurant (1) the restaurant side which has round booths and regular style bench booths; and (2) the hibachi side which looks like they had 10-12 setups. More. And the food......My first visit was as lunch and it was not busy.

A Tempura appetizer felt...The waitress and host were super friendly. The service was exceptional and the bar drinks were right on the mark! Easy pickup and no surprises when getting home....Service was piss poor as was the food. Email sent to me said would be ready in 45 minutes. I normally get the Italian chicken salad. A lot of reviewers think that the staff is accommodating at this steakhouse. It was both sweet and savory and a very good one as well. Kume Steakhouse is a modern Japanese cuisine. Great service from her!
We enjoyed sushi, scorpion bowls and a variety of the hibachi offerings; shrimp, scallops, lobster, salmon and filet. Come and stop into our new location here in Topsham, Maine!

The last time was a disappointment. Ordering was fast and easy. We got a table right away even though they were busy!! Ordering was fast and easy. I would definitely come back here again as the food was incredible and if you have not tried it, go try it because you will not be disappointed.


4 adults and 3 kids were entertained and served a great meal at the Hibachi!We had a party of four for a celebratory evening. This steakhouse is famous for offering Japanese cuisine. Love everything about Taste Of Maine Restaurant!!

The lobby area is a bit small, but the hostess is quick to get you seated. I love Hibachi and was super excited to try it. Second visit we had reservations, thank goodness. The decor is on the modern side, but the high ceilings are masked by a dark and black color, which is why the bar area was well lit with colored LEDs. I could be wrong, but there were quite a few from the small glimpse I got while waiting to be seated.

Due to its size, I didn't need another drink. When you first enter you are welcome by a large fish tank which you can see right into the restaurant side of the house.

It was great food wise, but even when not busy the wait staff REALLY needs to be more attentive especially regarding drinks. Guests say that the service is professional here.
