It's enough to say that this movie spoofs every single horror movie and genre made up to that point in time. This one is for you, James! Since then, it holds a special place in my heart, but I did go back recently and watch it again and I still found it pretty amusing (so it isn't a matter of me favoring this movie for nostalgic reasons). I loved this movie as a kid. Put something out now and see where it goes!!! I bought it when I was a kid and have had it ever since.

This movie doesn't give you a moment to breath or think about what you have just seen or heard.

This is either a love it or hate it movie.

My friend and I would rent it every weekend from video haven. I could probably recite every line word for word. Hard to justify $50-$70 times 4 in this economy.

Bought a DVD that I am going to try to make copies of for my darlings. The "Exorcist" scene being the most obvious here.

Can we say The Fog? Was this review helpful? As a long time Hudson fan I was glad to see them on the screan and making me laugh once again!!!

Still, for the most part the jokes worked and like I said it had its own plot and was not simply a patchwork of scenes from other films. Good movie for Halloween to get a break from blood and guts - lots of zombies, little blood. "You're doomed!" I saw this movie when I was about 12 years old and taped it off of cable.

"What difference does it make?" There are a few breakout scenes that are extremely funny, especially the big production number with dancing zombies in an amusement park, and a too-brief scene in which the brothers try to confuse some pursuing zombies with an impromptu doo-wop session. 4 out of 5 found this helpful. I remember when this movie first came out, my best friend from high school introduced me to it and we would quote it endlessly.

Unfortunately, he passed away about almost 20 years ago (RIP, James! And I still quote lines from the movie with my friend who was there to watch it with me. Bravo guys!

Granted the "Exorcist" scene did kind of take the cake as being the most funny in the film. Yes, it stars the Hudson Brothers, those inoffensive pop products from the Seventies who were quickly forgotten in the Eighties.

Find it and see for yourself. Wanting to get away from New York and reinvent himself he goes out to Cape Hellview, Oregon and meets the oddball residents including Ralph an old man who tells people “You’re doomed!” while riding by on his bicycle. Love the scene with Dracula (Charlie Callas) so funny! I remember the first time i saw this movie as a 16 year old boy just over 30 years ago, me and a friend rented it from the local video store one afternoon and most afternoons from then on. I have searched and searched for this movie and I can't find it anywhere...someone please help me!

Let me put it this way...to this day, they still call me Fritz. Was this review helpful? Was this review helpful?

Released on July 30, 1983, by Embassy Pictures, it is a spoof of the horror film genre. While horribly dated, this film still can make you bray out loud with laughter. This movie has great one-liners ("Quick, take my picture! The Hudson brothers are charismatic and often funny, but the overall ineptness of the production seems to smother them. Thus I think some of those people giving the film a thumbs down are expecting a bit much.

I show it to everybody I know! Your recently viewed items and featured recommendations

Hysterical is well, pretty hysterical, the film is about novelist Frederic Lansing who writes a trashy but successful book called Mouth to Mouth.

Great cast and of course so crazy silly! I remember watching this movie in high school; again and again and again. , Transylvania 6-5000, Attack of the Killer Tomatoes, Top Secret, or the Files from Police Squad, this is another movie you need to have, or need to see.

Desperately seeking a copy still .... Hey .. pass the salt !!!
